Shipping challenges and the end of SF64 (as it is now)

Hi everyone!

Since September 2025, and the new import tariff rules to the US, my business has been struggling. Most of my customers were US based (about 80%), and so it has become a true challenge to get anything sold considering the extremely high shipping fees that customers must now pay. It's unfortunate but it is the reality of the world we live in.

Things are not going in the right direction, because starting tomorrow (1st March 2026), there will be additional taxes to everything sold outside of the European Union, when shipping from France. After the US, my biggest markets are Canada and Australia, so shipping to these countries will be more expensive for me (and thus the customer) as well.

As a very small business, with 90% of my customer base being outside of the EU, this is an extremely hard blow, and so I have decided to move on with my life. This is only one of the many reasons why I have decided it is time to start a new chapter, but I have to say it definitely tipped the balance in favour of stepping down.

I might still do occasional painting, but Spicy Frog 64 is now downgraded to hobby. Thank you all for your support. I have learned a lot, and painted thousands of controllers over the past few years. It has been extremely fun, challenging and rewarding.
